While launching a consumer product, a successful entrepreneur learns quickly to listen to the market, not to the customer. There is a huge difference. If you listen to the customer, you’ll get multiple opinions about your product and your marketing. Those opinions will differ greatly. One thing I learned marketing products over the last twenty years is that consumers think they are experts on products, when in reality they may not even know why they purchased something.
