When it comes to incorporating the element of speed in your business, I can’t think of a better analogy for any entrepreneur than to be “swift as the wind.” Here’s my business prophecy: incorporating speed in your business will become one of the most important business weapons in your strategic and tactical arsenal. The quicker you are, the faster you can respond to the continuously changing market conditions.
Have you noticed something? The speed of information is disseminating at such a rapid pace everywhere due to digitization that just to keep up with the daily news is a major challenge. Because you can instantly tap into the different news and social media outlets, the delivery of any type of information is forcing businesses to become swift as the wind also.
As far as I am concerned, there is no sustainable advantage anymore in business. There is only temporary advantage — and you better think about continuously incorporating speed into every part of your business. Business is like sports. There is no luxury of taking a breather at any point in the game because if you do, your competition will take you to the cleaners.
